What are polyPrime Sign types?

   Instead of the tedious routing and engraving methods, photopolymer signs are easily produced and cost-efficient. Photopolymer is a photo-sensitive synthetic compound that hardens when exposed to an ultraviolet light source.

   A 1/32" clear, high resolution photopolymer sheet has been bonded to a variety of base substrates. Computer generated artwork is output to a film negative which is placed on the surface of the photopolymer sheet in the processing unit then exposed to ultraviolet light, hardening the raised area. After exposure, the material is placed in the washout tank where the unexposed photopolymer is washed away, leaving the raised area. With our unique photopolymer, washout takes place in plain tap water and its effluent is 100% biodegradable which can be disposed of in any public waste disposal system. Once the photopolymer is processed, many finishing options are available. Clearly, photopolymer is the material of choice for all your environmental graphic design needs!

Series 1

Series 1 is the greenest and most versatile line of signage introduced.  Features include a unique, clear PETG sign base that contain a minimum of 40% post-industrial recycled content which is resilient and shatterproof. The signage base contains a .032 photopolymer layer that is moisture resistant. This interior-grade nylon material has a 80 Shore D hardness rating (durometer) and an ultraviolet (UV) inhibitor that blocks unwanted light contamination to extend sign life.  PETG waste (such as small, off cuts) can be sent to a recycling facility after the photopolymer has been removed. The photopolymer effluent is 100% biodegradable and can be disposed of into any public sewer system – the perfect sign solution for environmentally conscious customers and LEED Certified facilities.
With a clear recycled base and 8 different gauges, fabricating options are unlimited. Surface paint, subsurface paint or use digital graphics. Thickness can range from 1/16" to 1/4"


 

Aluminum

Our exterior signs are made with an aluminum base with unique synthetic rubber monomers which are exterior rated immediately after initial exposure to UV light . The resin has a 0% swell rate in moisture-saturated environments, preventing collapse – even if the finish coat is less than perfect. The signs are compatible with all exterior paints and requires no extended treatments. Characteristics: Base thickness: .015” aluminum allow. Photopolymer layer: .032” extruded photosensitive synthetic rubber compound.
For interior signs a clear painted layer allows for a brushed aluminum face appearance. Characteristics: .017” aluminum base / clear adhesive layer .032” clear nylon based photopolymer layer.

3forms® Varia™ Series base material with 3forms® patented EcoResin; which has up to 40% recycled content. As the name implies, the choices of Varia™ resin panels are as diverse as your imagination. By allowing you to custom-select the color, pattern, texture, interlayer and finish of your material, The unique sign material is processed in plain tap water and bonds to 3-form’s EcoResin panels, which are non-toxic and have up to 40% recycled content.


 

Laminate

From wood grains to marbles and granites laminate, Signs have clear photopolymer to over a hundred standard patterned laminate substrates from trusted names like Formica, Pionite and Wilsonart. All patterns are available in 1/8” thickness. Simply choose the pattern you like. Characteristics All patterned material is available standard in 1/8” thickness. Stock patterns ship upon request and custom patterns require approximately two weeks for delivery. All Laminate signs are intended for interior applications only and environmentally friendly. The unique sign material is processed in plain tap water and bonds to hundreds of laminate substrates.


 

Photo-luminescent

Type A is the ideal solution for safety and egress signage concerns. It is UL1994 listed and 22.5 times brighter than Standard Glow. Photoluminescent Staircase Identification Signs as part of Photoluminescent Egress Path Markings are a requirement for exit staircases in NEW constructions and major alterations, and have to be UL1994 listed, a safety standard for Luminous Egress Path Marking Systems. Type A absorbs ambient light during the day and provides photo-luminescent emergency guidance at night. At night time, or in the event of a power outage, the photo-luminescent material instantly emits light without any electrical power. Type A ensures orderly egress to and inside stairwells and exits, clearly identifies fire extinguishers and emergency aids, and illuminates fire escape and evacuation routes.
Characteristics: Base interior photopolymer (.032”) is applied to .046” thick 81-1077 Rigid PVC power 250/30 UL1994 listed. Luminance is measured per ASTM E2072-04 (American Society for Testing and Material) and DIN 67510. Luminance is at 250 milli candela per square meter (mcd/m”) after 10 minutes and 30 milli candela per square meter after 60 minutes in full darkness, following activation by 1,000 Lux Xenon Lighting for 5 minutes, per ASTM E2073-02. Background color closely matches PMS 5807.

Type B is the ideal solution for safety and egress signage concerns, as well as environmental concerns about energy savings and CO2 emissions. Type B absorbs ambient light during the day and provides photo-luminescent emergency guidance at night. At night time, or in the event of a power outage, the photo-luminescent material instantly emits light without any electrical power. Type B ensures orderly egress to and inside stairwells and exits, clearly identifies fire extinguishers and emergency aids, and illuminates fire escape and evacuation routes. Characteristics: Base interior photopolymer (.032”) is applied to .047” thick power 150/22 photo-luminescent rigid PVC. Luminance is measured per ASTM E2072-04 (American Society for Testing and Material) and DIN 67510. Luminance is at 150 milli candela per square meter (mcd/m”) after 10 minutes and 22 milli candela per square meter after 60 minutes in full darkness, following activation by 1,000 Lux Xenon Lighting for 5 minutes, per ASTM E2073-02. Background color closely matches PMS 5807.
